SWEET CHILLI + CHEESE SCONES

These sweet chilli and cheese scones are a delicious twist on a classic baked treat. With the savoury richness of cheese and a touch of spicy sweetness from our sweet chilli sauce, they make a great snack or addition to a brunch spread.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups self-raising flour

  • 2 cups cheese (we recommend a strong cheddar)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 cups Greek yoghurt

  • 3 heaped tbsp Asian Food Republic sweet chilli sauce

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 200°C fan bake

  • Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well until combined

  • Tip mixture out onto a lightly floured surface and shape into a round about 2.5cm thick, then divide into 9 equal pieces

  • Place onto a lined baking tray and into the oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown

  • Serve with butter and enjoy!
