WINTER OATMEAL

There’s nothing better than a warm bowl of nourishing oatmeal on a cold winter’s morning. This recipe is topped with our delicious plum & tamarind drizzle, sliced almonds, and frozen berries to make a sensational and healthy breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup water or milk of your choice

  • Pinch of salt

Toppings:

  • Asian Food Republic plum & tamarind drizzle

  • Sliced almonds

  • Frozen berries

Method:

  • In a saucepan, bring the water or milk to a boil

  • Add the rolled oats and salt and stir well

  • Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you prefer a thicker consistency, cook for a few more minutes.

  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let the oatmeal sit for a minute or two to thicken further

  • Pour into a bowl and top with a drizzle of plum & tamarind sauce, a handful of frozen berries, and some sliced almonds

  • Mix the toppings into the oatmeal and enjoy while still warm
